Gurmeet Sitaram Choudhary is an Indian television actor and model. He is famous for his popular roles in Ramayan, Geet - Hui Sabse Parayi and Punar Vivah as Yash Sindhiya. He gained enormous fame by the role of Lord Rama in 2008's popular series Ramayana opposite Debina Bonnerjee, who played as Sita. His negetive character in a 3-D Tamil Show Mayavi (2006) was highly appreciated and it was one of the most watched shows of Asia. He has also appeared in shows like Pati Patni Aur Wo, Bandini, Laughter Ke Phatke, Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega and in many more. He has also done few music videos. He was the winner of Jhalak Dikhlaja season 5, 2012. He has won Favorite Lead Actor (Male) and TV's Most Desirable Man 2011 by Telly Chakkar. Currently, he is seen in Nach Baliye 6 alongwith his actress wife Debina Bonnerjee. The heartthrob Gurmeet Choudhary was born as Gurmeet Sitaram Choudhary on 22 February, 1984. He has an army background as his father Mr. Sitaram Choudhary, was in the army. Hence, he got to stay in many different parts of India. However, he was born in Chandigarh and was brought up majorly in Jabalpur and Chennai. Most of his education is completed in Jabalpur, Madhyapradesh. He is fond of acting since childhood and was seen acting in many school plays. He has won Mr. Jabalpur title and also participated in Mr. India contest. At the age of eighteen, he joined a theatre in Jabalpur and tried really hard for almost 5 years to reach peak. Gurmeet has won Best Celebrity Jodi with Drashti Dhami for Geet hui sabse parai at Zee Gold Awards 2011. Gurmeet and Debina in Nach Baliye 6

Nach Baliye season 6 is coming to its end and Gurmeet-Debina have reached to the top 4 alongwith Rithvik-Asha, Ripu-Shivangi and Vinod-Raksha. Struggle, hard work, drama and strength are words that describe their aura as a couple on this show. They have come through well and are one of the stronger contestants that reflect a win.

Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee Choudhary would have to opt out of the dance reality show due to sudden injury to Debina. Gurmeet said, "Debina is one strong woman. She was not ready to reveal this to all and even our choreographers were scared for her. We are disappointed but despite the pain she wants to continue and says that if I could bear the pain for two weeks than we can do it for four more weeks without any break. Health comes first. We are consulting the doctor and going as per her advice completely. Debina is currently on medicines and she is wearing taping and a rib belt. The doc has also advised her physiotherapy and she has also put Debina on bed rest. We have spoken to the doctor who has given us a go-ahead to perform for Nach Baliye."

Gurmeet Choudhary House

The handsome hunk Gurmeet Choudhary and his better half Debina Bonnerjee had shifted to their new house in Mumbai on 2 February 2013. They have bought a new apartment in Oshiwara, Mumbai. It was their dream to buy a new house and it has finally happened. Debina said, "This house is much spacious and my pet can run around. We both are busy with our shoots, but I am taking care of the interiors, plumbing work and other household things that need to be set up."

Gurmeet and Debina do not have kids yet but they wanted to have a family. Debina said, "Having a baby is nothing to hide and if something like that would happen, I and Gurmeet will announced it on Twitter. But yes, we are planning to go the family way by next year."

Jhalak Dikhlaja Season 5

Gurmeet Choudhary was the winner of dance reality show Jhalak Dikhlaja Season 5 on Colors TV. He has done a fabulous job with his choreographer Shampa Sonthalia and were considered to be the hottest jodi on Jhalak's stage. His performance in jhalak was really well and has everytime impressed the judges, Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar & Remo dsuoza. By the time is being highly voted and has learnt many dance forms with perfection. Gurmeet is all set to play the lead in the directorial debut of choreographer Swaroop, who choreographed Priyanka Chopra in the famous 'Pinky' song in Apoorva Lakhia's Zanjeer. When asked Gurmeet about his debut film he says, "I have been approached for the film and had a meeting with the makers but it is not finalised yet because I have not said yes or no yet. I want to focus only on Nach Baliye season 6 as of now. Other than dance films, I have been getting a lot of offers for romantic and action films, too." Gurmeet said, "I am doing a few films, but as far as daily soaps are concerned, this was my last daily soap on television. I will not quit TV. I would be open to reality shows and anchoring."
