Neha Sargam is an Indian actress who appears on television. She got famous for playing the character of Nivedita, a hesitant and introvert girl in the daily soap Chaand Chupa Badal Mein. She was spotted by Sonali Bendre for her beautiful smile in the Indian Idol auditions from where her acting career took off. She did few cameo roles such as Ishika in Haar Jeet on NDTV Imagine and in Punar Vivah on Zee TV. She was last seen in Zee TV's Ramayan in the role of Sita.

Neha sargam was born on 4th March 1988 and born and brought up in Patna, Bihar. She has done graduation from Patna college in advertisement and sales marketing. Neha aspires to be a singer and has already auditioned twice for the Indian Idol. Rajan Shahi saw the clippings of her auditions for a reality show on Youtube and gave her offer for the lead role in Chaand Chupa Badal Mein. The gorgeous actress is not too keen on doing typical Saas-Bahu shows as Neha had already started off her career with a saas-bahu saga and she is looking forward to do some realistic shows.

Neha's maternal grandfather "Padamsri Pandit Siyaram Tewari" was a great Dhrupad maestro. She said, "I belong to a musical family and will certainly do something related to music." She entered acting not only for glamour but it was about the opportunity.

Boyfriend/dating

According to the sources, Neha is dating television actor Neil Bhatt. While shooting for Ramayan, they connected and came close to each other. When asked to Neha, she said that someone might be playing miscreant and spreading rumours and Neil said, "Nothing like that. We worked in Ramayan together as co-stars and that's it. We are in touch and she is a good friend but this claim is ridiculous."

As Sita in Ramayan on Zee TV

The cute and bubbly Neha Sargam played Sita in the weekly show 'Ramayan' on Zee TV alongwith actor Gagan Malik who potrayed the role of Ram. Gagan was earlier seen in shows like "Pratha" and "Navya", while Neha is known for "Punar Vivaah" and "Chand Chupa Badal Mein".

Early Career

Neha was aspiring to do MBA but destiny had something else in store for her. She had auditioned for Indian Idol 4. Then Neha was not able make it to the second audition because of a road accident and throat infection. After watching her in one of the audition, Rajan Sahi called her for the screen test of Nivedita in his show, Chand Chupa Badal Mein. Neha passed the screen test but it was her first ever brush with acting. Neha eventually then played lead role of Nivedita in the show.

The beautiful actress Neha Sargam was last seen in Zee TV's mythological show Ramayan as Sita. After a mini break she was recently seen in UTV Bindass popular show, Yeh Hai Aashiqui.

Interview

Talking about the experience of playing the character of Sita?
The character of Sita was amazing and delightful to portray on screen and it was a learning experience for me as well. We get to learn something as well when we get to play a positive character. I got to learn that running in a forest while wearing a saree is not easy (laughs). I learnt to be graceful and work upon the stability part which was required to play this character.

Neha is a talented trained singer. When asked her whether she used to give time to her singing talent
She said, "Though I used to not get time to do my Riyaaz in the morning, I used make it a point to sing on the sets or in my make up room. I have been singing since the age of 3 years and my entire family is into classical singing."

When asked Neha about her preference between acting and singing talent
Singing is little strict so it becomes little tough for me because you have to sing it in right way and manner. Acting can be edited but singing cannot be edited. Acting is more easy and has less limitations than singing but they both demand a lot of hard work. All I can do with my singing is that I can do my Riyaaz (practice) and I will be very happy if I get a chance to enter into the music industry. I think that if I will be honest to my art then the avenues will open up for me soon. In future, I would like to play a very lively and a realistic kind of a role.
