Ganguly, who married to his long term business beau Ashwin Verma on
February 07th this year is expecting her first baby. She has decided to
go on a maternity break and has also done official talk with the
production house. Rupali will soon be replaced on the show and the
Production house has already started looking out for her replacement.
About Rupali Ganguly
Rupali Ganguly is
an Indian television and theater actress born in Kolkata on to a Hindu
Bengali family. She is the daughter of acclaimed film director Anil
Ganguly, who made films like Kora Kagaz (1974) and Tapasya (1976).
She started acting when she was 7 years
old with a role in the film, Saheb, following it up with an award
winning performance in her father’s film, Balidaan. But she came in
light after her role as Dr. Simran Chopra in the STAR Plus popular
serial Sanjivani and later as Monisha Sarabhai on Star One hilarious comedy serial Sarabhai VS Sarabhai .
Apart of daily soaps, she has also participated in the 1st season of dance reality show Zara Nachke Dikha, and the 1st season of Bigg Boss. She has also participated in stunt/dare reality game show, Fear Factor – Khatron Ke Khiladi Level 2. She also gave voice over in animation film, Dashavatar (2008)
Presently, she is a regular anchor of
Bioscope – a films based TV Show telecast on national channel of
Doordarshan. She also played in a New York Life commercial with Ravi
Kishen.
