Romit and Tina are both Punjabis who studied mostly in Kolkata. They met on the internet and kept in touch only on email for almost two years. They then decided to meet up and the rest as the cliché goes is history.
Pankaj wore a heavy cream sherwani for the morning wedding and a white sherwani for the reception. Both the creations were designed by designers Pankaj and Palak Arora who design his wardrobe for television. Tina picked her wedding wear from Ritu Kumar. Says Romit: “Though the wedding was in another city, me and my parents didn’t have to sweat the small stuff because most of the wedding planning was done by Tina and her parents, and my uncle Jitendar Mohan who lives in Pune." Adds Romit, who is a non-smoker and teetotaller, but whose big weakness is good food: "My only special request for my wedding was that the food for all the functions, should be superb. I’m a big foodie, and I live to eat. The catering teams of both O Hotel and Taj Blue Diamond served a fantastic spread of amazing food.”
After the wedding, Romit and Tina spent a week at the Fort Aguada in Goa. They are now back to their usual work routine. Tina and Romit live alongwith his parents in Malad.
