Rithvik Dhanjani is an Indian television actor. He has learnt acting from Kishore Namit Kapoot acting lab. He debuted on Television as Jay Khurana in Star One's Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani, apart from that he has also worked in Bandini. He came into fame with the role of Arjun in the daily soap Pavitra Rishta. He has also worked for bollywood films like Aftermath Mumbai and others. He has showcased his another talent of anchoring to his viewers through kids most entertaining serial India's Best Dramebaaz on Zee Tv alongwith Ragini Khanna. He would like to be part of out-of-the-box films like Shahid. Currently, he is seen in Nach Baliye 6 alongwith his baliye Asha Negi.

Biography

Rithvik was born on 5 Nov 1988 in Madhya Pradesh. His first priority is his acting and if he would not been an actor then he would like to be a magician or choreographer. His biggest inspiration is his teacher Abhijit Das and Rithvik is still taking training under him. Before coming to this television industry, he was a choreographer and when he was in Dubai for his international movie, city of life he also choreographed movie Dabangg's villain Sonu Sood. He also used to help in his father's business but it did not interest him.
After that, he has done theater back in Dubai for 2 and half years both commercial and communal. He is soon going to make his big screen debut with an untitled film produced by a new production company called Gill Productions. He did few Bollywood films and later moved on to small screen and started his career as Jay Khurana in Star One's Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani and then was part of Bandidni.

It is the finale week and viewers of popular celeb dance reality show Nach Baliye are anxiously waiting to find out the winner jodi of this season. The battle is among the final four couples, namely Rithvik Dhanjani-Asha Negi, Gurmeet Choudhary-Debina Bonnerjee, Ripudaman Handa-Shivangi Verma, Vinod Thakur-Raksha Thakur. Asha-Rithvik are one of the toughest competitor on the show as they are getting highest votes with lots of appreciation from the judges panel. Rithvik and Asha are the most promosing contenders of Nach Baliye 6.

He said, "Undoubtedly, I want to win the show. We have got great scores and we are the highest rated couple in terms of numbers and we have been consistent enough so it's good. We are glad to be in the finals and we hope to win it as well. I feel Gurmeet-Debina and Ripu Daman- Shivangi are the toughest contenders for us."

Rithvik and Asha Accident

They had apparently met with an accident during the rehearsals of Nach Baliye 6. The couple was rushed to the hospital as they sustained severe injuries. According to our source, Rithvik had a head injury and got about five stitches while Asha got 12 stitches on her injured chin. Rithvik tweeted, "Adventurous and a little painful start to the journey jus returned home frm the hospital with a few stitches." Asha said, "It all happened when Rithvik and I were performing on the stage and during one dance move I had to run and jump on Rithvik. But due to a mistiming, he banged his forehead on my chin. Since we didn't want to show our discomfort, we finished our dance number. After our dance performance, I realized that Rithvik and I were bleeding badly. But seeing our dedication, all the participating couples and judges applauded us and we got a good score from them."

Girlfriend

Rithvik is dating his co-star Asha Negi aka Purvi of Pavitra Rishta. He said, "Honestly, we weren't attracted towards each other in the beginning. In fact, I was not even friends with her. Over a period of time we became friends and only recently we found out that there could be more to our friendship. No one has proposed to each other. In fact, we didn't even realise that we were in love. Look, we are not your typical lovebirds who say cheesy things to each other. We are friends who keep playing pranks on each other."

The reports on real life couple Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi quitting Pavitra Rishta have been repeatedly flashed in the media. And the latest is that they both had a word with the producer of the show, Ekta Kapoor (Balaji Telefilms), and will part ways amicably from the project in the month of December. According to the sources, the plot focuses entirely on Ankita Lokhande post the leap. That is the need of the story and other actors don't have much to do at this point of time. However, in the long run the focus will shift to all other characters. But many actors are running out of patience. Rithvik is confirmed to quit the show in December but Asha might continue.

Do you wear accessories? I do wear at times. But my favourite accessory is a Jesus locket that I have been wearing from the last four years. It's my lucky mascot.

Do you follow any brands? I don't follow brands religiously but there are certain brands I feel comfortable wearing like H&M and Zara.

Favourite shopping destination: It has to be Dubai as I have spent 15-20 years there. I know all the shopping destinations there.

Most expensive buy: I bought a trench coat from Dubai worth 495 dirham.
