Iqbal Khan was born as Mohammed Iqbal Khan on 10 February, 1981 in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. He has done his schooling in Shimla. He was in a boarding school in Kasauli from my 6th to the 12th std. He was appeared in Falguni Pathak's "Indhana Mirwa" music video. He gained much applause for his roles in the serials. Iqbal is a person, who is very dedicated to his family and work. After taking a break in Karam Apnaa Apnaa 2006, he later came back to the Tv with Chhoona Hai Aasmaan as an airforce officer.

Iqbal Khan the dynamic actor has started his career as a Tv actor. He became famous famous after the success of television serial "Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai". Apart from Tv soaps, he as also appeared in bollywood movies like Fun2shh...Dudes in the 10th Century, Bullet Ek Dhamaka. He portrayed a role of Dr.Viren Roy in Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli on Zee TV. His favorite character he has played is Shiv Kapoor.

Iqbal Khan is the youngest son of Mehmuda Khan and Mohammed Amin Khan, who served as an officer in the Indian Civil Service. He has four siblings and he is fourth among them. He is married to Sneha Chhabra and has a girl baby Ammaara, who was born in September 2011.

He said that one of the things that really make him smile is the memory of his school days. He is a self confessed "workaholic" and will be working for about 16 to 18 hour schedules. He exercises daily and is a fitness freak. He is known as Hindi megastar.

Iqbal Khan is married to his girl friend Sneha Chhabra, whom he had met six years earlier while shooting for a Falguni Pathak video, Mein Teri Prem Diwani. After that, he had met her again when he was a struggling actor in Bombay. They have been together ever since. He said that Sneha had stood by him during the most difficult part of his life. The two were married in January 2007.
