For a while news was doing the round that actor Ram Kapoor is quitting Sony channel
popular serial ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’ which is riding high on TRPs but the
actor now denied the report saying that he is not quitting the serial and will
stick to the end. The serial is high on popularity chart and is the most
favorite serial of the TV goers.
"I am not quitting `Bade Achhe Lagte Hain`. Please don`t believe
whatever you read. My production guys said not to take any calls from media,
and they started cooking up their own stories. I will not quit `Bade...` till
the time it is finished," Ram Kapoor told reporters.
There were reports that Ram Kapoor will quit the serial as he has many film offers on his hand and could not concentrate on both films and serial due to time bounds.
There were reports that Ram Kapoor will quit the serial as he has many film offers on his hand and could not concentrate on both films and serial due to time bounds.
An insider says, “Ram has spoken to Balaji (production house) and the
channel (Sony). He told Ekta that he wants to quit as he has received some good
film offers. Finding the time for his films and shooting for BALH was becoming
very difficult for him.”
The news of Ram willing to quit BALH had been making headlines since
September; the issue has been resolved recently. But now, with flooded film
offers, he is finding difficult to manage his schedule. “Every month, he works
on the show for 15 days, and then he dedicates 15 days for his films. And
because he is in almost every frame of BALH, it’s even tougher. There have been
times when the production unit has had to make do with close-up shots and body
doubles, as he did not have time to shoot,” says a source.
Asked if TV or film is his priority, he quickly answered, "For me it's
all one. I will do TV, films and theatre only when I get good work. I will try
my best always to not discriminate between any of these as I am an actor and
want to do good work," concluded Ram.
