Tareek pe tareek – Sunny Deol in Damini
Action
star Sunny Deol has been lucky to have done some of the greatest action
movies in Bollywood. His action stunts, and punchy dialogues are very
much a part of Sunny Deol’s on-screen persona for which he is famous and
loved by his fans. Movie goers and Sunny fans look forward to his
movies for not only his presence, but also his dialogue delivery style
and some great dialogues that speak to them and for them.
It’s
true that no one says it like Sunny Deol does! Sunny Deol’ s style of
delivering his dialogues is so unique that a whole generation of mimics
have grown up trying to copy his style . Radio advertisements often
fall back on a Sunny Deol sound-alike to capture people’s attention and
sell their products He is often loud, forceful and strong as he shouts
at his arch enemy, but he has also sometimes been soft voiced and
menacing. The feeling of anger and frustration of the character comes
through clearly and effectively in his dialogues and the audience feels
good listening to him shouting down the bad people and bad practices.

the ’mazdoor ke haath’ dialogue in the scene with Danny Denzongpa.

The film Ghayal
was an action drama with Sunny at his best. His ‘bahut pachtaoge’
dialogue in jail, where he is strung up and is being beaten up by the
cops was suitably menacing even though the character was bruised and
hurting.
Only Sunny can tell a policeman - Bahut Pachtaoge
J.P Dutt’s war drama and multi- starrer, Border,
had a galaxy of stars, yet Sunny managed to get some great patriotic
dialogues including the ‘problem’ dialogue where he is stern towards a
soldier who is leaving on a holiday despite his country and his comrades
being in the middle of a war-like situation.
The patriotic Sunny Deol Problem Dialogue
Gadar: Ek Prem Katha
was another Sunny Deol starrer film that was a huge hit, but the tone
was jingoistic and Sunny Deol’s dialogues were loud and a hit despite
its content.
