Deep Waters is a true youth story.. Brave and red blooded…That day was Nisan’s birthday. They were getting started with the preparations with her mother Leyla and her sister Irem, when they were shocked with a text message. Her best friend Ezgi had decided to leave Izmir and she was texting her a farewell message. Nisan was surprised; she couldn’t make sense of what was happening. Ezgi who grew up in an orphanage and had no family was studying at the same university with Nisan with a scholarship. She was introverted and shy. She had no other friend than Ezgi. Nisan went to the station to stop her. Ezgi was not on the train. She was not at home…nobody knew where she was.While Nisan was trying to understand what was happening she was shocked with the news she got that night. Ezgi was found outside of the city left to death. Someone named Kuzey had found her. Ezgi was devastated when she ran to the hospital and found out that Ezgi was in a coma. Her friend was stuck between death and life and nobody knew when she would get better. Besides she was four months pregnant, she was forced to adopt and when things got complicated she was left to death. Nisan realized that she didn’t know anything about Ezgi. There is another thing that she doesn’t know. Ezgi’s perpetrators are people that she wouldn’t expect, closer than she thinks.
