Suvarna
Jha is a quite familiar name on the small screen now. She catapulted to
fame with the character portrayal of the obsessive lover Mishti in the
Balaji love-saga `Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai`. Recently she is seen essaying the
character of the malicious daughter-in-law Tripti in the most popular
Balaji soap `Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi`. She has not only made
headlines with her acting prowess but has also managed to attract a
considerable fan following. Earlier he has worked behind the scenes for a
couple of years in a variety of arenas. She was also an assistant
director at one point of time. It was Farah Khan, the daughter of the
yesteryear Bollywood actor Sanjay Khan who offered her role in a show
titled `Jannat` which was broadcasted on Channel Nine Gold. She played
the character of Zoya in that Muslim social drama. Soon after she was
offered a role in `Dekho Magar Pyar Se`, which was to be aired on the
Star Plus channel.
It was the character of Mishti, which brought the gifted actress Suvarna
Jha to the limelight. She got the role by sheer luck and did not have
to do the audition for it. Since that time she has become a household
name. Before her track in the soap came to an end she was offered a role
in `Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi`. Her character of Tripti has
become a huge hit with the audience and the revelation scene where she
was seen hatching evil plans along with another daughter-in-law in the
Virani household named Mohini (played by Tasneem Sheikh) was quite a
shock for the audience. She had just joined the `Kyunki` team for a
cameo, which was supposed to last for 2 months but fortunately her
character become so much involved with the audience that she was made to
stay for a long time. When she is asked what is the difference between
both the soaps she claims that the former one was a new show and she
took much time develop her own identity while the later one is like a
well-oiled machine.
About her personal life Suvarna Jha claims that she was a horribly
spoilt child since her childhood. Her parents are divorced and they both
put up separately in Delhi and Dehra Dun respectively. When she shifted
to Mumbai her life became much better. She learnt the art of
appreciating things and started caring more about money, which she never
used to do earlier. About her personal interests she loves watching
films and reading books. She is very fond of traveling as well. She also
believes that Iqbal Khan is the hottest man on television. She also
shares a great rapport with her co-stars. She also does not believe in
any particular religion and spiritualism. She worships all Gods equally.
This innately endowed actress has a long way to go before she quits the
profession of acting.
