Every week, celebrity guests from the television & film world, are invited to the show to perform. Last week saw Amrita Arora performing to her best friend, Kareena Kapoor's hit number.. and this week will witness the performance of one of television's cutest, real life jodi - that of Shraddha Nigam & Karan Grover (of Dill Mill Gaye fame).
We spoke to Shraddha Nigam and asked her about her experience, performing with her real-life 'baliye'. "The
experience was really great. Karan and I got to know that we could
dance decently well (laughs). Nach Baliye needs serious practice and due
to our hectic round the clock schedules, we could not get enough time
to practice. We got to know very late about our performance and we could
squeeze out just about 2 rehearsals before the shoot. Even on the day
of the performance, we were still learning our steps, so there was no
time to polish our steps. It was really hectic. I wonder how the
contestants cope up with this. But it was great fun to perform in Nach"
How was it to come on stage with your love, Karan? "The
fact that we were onscreen together for the first time, was more
exciting for us. We were working together for the first time in our
lives. It was really nice to know that our chemistry worked on screen.
Being in love and working together was really a memorable moment for us.
I am always a perfectionist, but to see Karan too, give his best was
really nice. We got to know that we both have that
never-to-let-go-of-anything spirit and it was nice." What is the number you performed on? "We performed on the number, 'Ae Meri Meri Zohra Jabeen' from Hera Pheri. We felt really nice to perform here for another reason, because our choreographers for the performance were Harshal and Vithall, who choreographed for Husein and Tina last year. They both are gems and I really love them."
