The Salman Khan Film Festival, Coming To You In 2014

MUMBAI: Salman Khan did not have a single release in 2013. But Salman fans need not worry as the superstar will be back with 3 films in 2014.

First up is ‘Jai Ho’, earlier titled ‘Mental’. The director Sohail Khan was recently seen at a party downtown. While there, he apparently told everyone present that the film will be a big hit, even bigger than Salman Khan’s own ‘Dabangg’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s current blockbuster ‘Chennai Express’ which is breaking all records, and creating new ones.

A source says, “Sohail is extremely happy with the way Mental has shaped up. He is particularly excited about the dance numbers. He believes the album will be a chartbuster.” ‘Jai Ho’ will release on 24 January, 2014 – the Republic Day weekend.

Meanwhile, after a break this year, Salman Khan will be back for Eid in 2014. Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Kick’ which has had its shooting postponed while Salman Khan’s visa issues are solved will release on 27 July, 2014.

A source says, “Salman Khan will be shooting for ‘Kick’ on especially constructed sets in Mumbai come September. Though the shooting got slightly postponed because of the actor’s visa problems all that has been sorted out now. Sajid and Salman decided that they will complete Kick at breakneck speed so that the film can release on Eid.”

The third film starring Salman Khan is apparently an untitled one which will be directed by the director with a golden touch – Prabhu Deva. This film does not have a release date locked yet, but the makers are looking at a Diwali or Christmas release date.
