Narayani Shastri, last seen as the main protagonist, Mamta
in Zee�s show with the same name, returns to television in a completely
different avatar in Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan. Telly Buzz gives you exclusive details.
Narayani will be playing the role of Damini, the female
prosecutor defending Saraswati (Kshitee Jog) in the case of burning Bhavishya
(Kartik Sabarwal) alive. Speaking about her cameo role Narayani says, �I am
playing the lawyer who is defending Saraswati. She enters court after 10 years
and is very keen on fighting for justice as she has been thru� similar trials
and tribulations as Saraswati in her past.� However, what compelled Narayani to
take up a cameo role? To which Narayani replied, �Well, right now I am not very
keen on doing a daily soap. I took up the role mainly because it was a cameo and
is a performance oriented role.�
Buzz in the industry is that real life boyfriend Gaurav
Chopra will be pitted against Narayani as the defense attorney. Although
rumours are that Gaurav has not given the green signal yet, when contacted
Gaurav did assert the fact that he will be seen in the show saying, �It is a
cameo role and my character has a gray shade. I cannot say anything more.�
